03-08-2012 - (Denver, CO)

Adaptive Spirit and the Rocky Mountain Cable Association proudly announce the participants for a special Executive panel set to discuss marketing challenges and opportunities for the cable industry, based off of IBM’s recent Global CMO Study.  The panel is booked for Thursday, March 29 at 4:30 p.m. in the Cascade Ballroom at the Vail Cascade Resort in Vail, CO.

The panel will feature top Marketing Executives including Mark Greatrex, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Cox Communications, Brian Hunt, SVP Marketing and Sales Strategy, NBCUniversal, Allan Samson, SVP Marketing, Charter Communications and Marissa Freeman, SVP of Brand Strategy and Marcom, Time Warner Cable.  The panel will be moderated by Rich Maraschi, who acts as IBM Global Lead, Business Analytics, Media and Entertainment Industry.

"In our continuing effort to provide top notch opportunities for industry networking and education, I think we've hit it out of the park with this panel," said Joe Rooney, SVP of Brand and Media for Cox Communications and co-chair of Adaptive Spirit's SkiTAM. "We have gathered some of our industry’s sharpest executives to discuss this comprehensive, eye-opening IBM study which delves into the issues that keep top marketers up at night."

Between February and June 2011, IBM met face to face with 1,734 CMOs in 19 industries and 64 countries to better understand their goals and the challenges they confront.  The resulting information became the first study of CMO’s and the fifteenth in the on-going series of C-suite studies developed by the IBM Institute for Business Value.

The panel at Adaptive Spirit’s SkiTAM will address key points including:

  • The areas CMOs indicated they are most under prepared to manage
  • Three key domains CMOs identified for improvement
  • Recommendations and initiatives CMOs can implement to become better prepared
