Youth, Transportation & Equipment Rental

AS2024 is held in Vail, Colorado. Use the links in this area to get information about getting to, from and around Vail. You can also find information about renting skis, snowboards, child care and ski school information.

Yes, we have fun events for the kids too!

Families are an important part of AS2024. Youth and their caregivers are welcome. While the Podium Bash is for ages 13 and older, there are activities for kids of all ages! All youth and caregivers must be registered and must have credentials in order to attend group events. Movies, parties and youth ski races provide safe and fun activities for our younger guests.

Friday

  • Youth Race (must be ages 15 or younger)
  • Kids' Film Fest (this event is for children 5 and older)

Saturday

  • Kids' Party (this event is for children 5 and older)

Child Care

Due to the liability associated with child care, neither Adaptive Spirit nor hotels offer this service. However, you can directly contact licensed child care businesses in Vail to make arrangements. Please note that child care is limited in Vail and the sooner you book a sitter, the better chances you have of getting one. Please contact the following companies to arrange individual childcare.

Resort Sitters                   970-748-3012

Care4Kids                        970-376-7228

Eagle Valley Sitters           970-341-9701

Vail Resorts

Vail Resorts does not offer child care but you can reserve a place in their ski school. Complete details are available online. You can also contact the Vail Ski School by calling 970-754-4300. It is highly recommended you book online in advance as ski school offerings are limited and change throughout the season.

Getting There

You can choose flights to either Denver International Airport (DEN) or the Eagle County Airport (EGE) near Vail. DEN is approximately two hours from Vail and services all major airlines. EGE is a half hour from Vail and offers seasonal service from four major airlines.

Though car rentals are available, once in the town of Vail, you won’t really need a vehicle and parking is quite expensive. We recommend choosing a shuttle service from your airport to Vail and enjoying the view along the way! EPIC Mountain Express operates out of both Denver and Eagle County and offers special rates to Adaptive Spirit guests. To book, call 970-754-7433 and mention discount code Adaptive24 or click on this link
